The letters have feminine gender, therefore we say la a la be, la ce… when naming them.
Unlike other languages, Spanish presents very few double consonants. When you find them these are the ones you are likely to have to deal with:
ll and rr, like in paella or guitarra, they are pronounced producing a single sound.
cc and nn, however, produce two distinctive sounds, as in acción or connotación.
In some Latin American countries, letters be (b) and uve (v) are called be larga and ve corta respectively.
